I launched my newsletter/email updates around July, 2012 as everyone out there was telling me that ‘Money is in the list’ thing. I preferred to use Aweber to handle all of this for me and I am pretty much satisfied with their service & support.
From the time when I launched my newsletter, I was constantly having a watch on the number of subscribers that I have in my list or you can say that have subscribed Postfever. I checked out a lot of YouTube videos, had discussions with masters in the field and got some information about how I can increase my email subscribers count.
And some of the tricks worked smooth for me & some were below average. So, today I thought to share with you ten tips that I actually use to increase my email subscribers count and you can do that too by following the guidelines.

1. Placement Of Subscription Boxes

Reminding visitors to subscribe at the crucial places is important. And here comes the placement of subscription boxes factor. We need to place the sign – up form at every crucial place, so that we do not miss even a single conversion.
The best places to place subscription box is below the post, on the sidebar, sometimes on the header with a bar works awesome. Try different places and you will see the results.

2. Solo Ads

Solo ads is a nice technique to generate some quick sign ups and that too without any hassles. I agree to the point that it is a paid form of getting sign ups but I personally believe that it’s worth the money spent.
Solo ads is a kind of paid advertisement in which you pay the person with a huge list to share your content with their subscribers and try to land as many people as possible to your squeeze page. Generally the cost is calculated per clicks so it is really nice for the payer as he/she is paying only for the assured clicks.

Swap technique is somewhat similar to solo ads but this one is a free version of it. People promote your content to their email list but in return you too have to promote their content to your email list.

Giving a reason to subscribe to your emails is a technique that is in trend from a  long time. All because, it works really well. Giving away products like eBooks, reports and such material will surely boost your email subscribers count.
People need a reason to subscribe to your blog and these freebies can be an awesome reason to subscribe. I personally launched an eBook a few days back and I got 200+ Sign ups from it on a single day.

Facebook fan page is a place where all your fans gather, and giving them the flexibility to subscriber from their itself is really appreciated. I personally get a lot of sign ups from my Facebook fan page.
There are many apps out there to do the task for you. As I already told you that I use Aweber, so I use Aweber app itself to add the sign up form to my fan page.

6. Using QR Codes to Sign Ups

QR codes are in trend these days, and ignoring them is not gonna benefit us in any way. So, let’s use them as well. Generate QR code for your sign up form page, and attach it at different places like Pinterest and a lot more.

10. Respect Privacy

People are really concerned about how you are going to use the information that they provide you like Email Id, name etc. You should clearly mention the privacy policy and state in it that how you are going to manage these things.
It should include, what all information you save, how you utilize it, do you transfer it to any other people etc etc. It really helps in building trust and people are more likely to sign up when they know that their information is safe.
